I found some corrosion on the connector of my battery and I can’t start.
What are the risk of unplugging the plus of the battery. My car is a 2000 Audi TT quattro.
Thanks
I meant restart obviously!

nothing might lose the time on clock.. now you think they change a battery without removing cables… and really only way of cleaning them is to remove your doing it the right way remove scrape or brush the inside and out and re-tighten

Take battery cable off and clean it, may need to replace battery. Reprogram you am/fm radio presets.

NO, NO, NO, NO and NO. Does your TV remote work if you take the battery out? Of course you will not be able to start the car with EITHER cable disconnected from the battery. However you should clean the corrosion off the post and the terminal. Use a steel brush and buy some spray on corrosion protector.

you will be able take the connector off and clean it but you will lose radio power and it may lock up on you then you will have to get a code from your owners manual or your local dealer to reactivate it

clean the corrosion or replace the whole wire
