In addition to a hybrid version, Audi is giving its sleek new A6 the full S treatment. Our spy photographers recently snapped this completely undisguised prototype out testing in Germany, leading us to believe that the production car will likely debut in the not-too-distant future. Audi’s usual S up-do is fully evident here, with the more aggressive front fascia, side sill extension and four exhaust tips out back all signaling a more sporting sedan.

The new S6 will likely ditch the current car’s 5.2-liter V10 mill in favor of a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8. Since the S6 will compete with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and BMW M5, expect power output to be somewhere in the 500- to 550-horsepower range.

Question by Kevin M C: Why does an Audi A4 not have the “A4″ or “2.0T” in silver on the back of the car?
I’m looking to buy a pre-owened Audi from a dealership and noticed that it doesn’t have the “A4″ or the “2.0t” in silver on the back of the car. It just has the Audi emblem. I’ve never seen this before. Any idea why it’s missing?

How good is it to handle a new Audi? 12
Mar
Posted by Admin in Cars Related on 03 12th, 2011

People have often thought that it is down to the brilliant creativity that demonstrates Audi vehicles brilliant handling alluring to its great drive.

But what specific features affect the positives of handling an Audi? Read on to find out what www.centralcontracts.com suggest.

Indeed you do get high performance and speed with an Audi but you also get a ride that is so smooth that it makes you forget you are driving. The hum of the engine is almost negligible as you sit in an oasis of calm that reduces vibrations and noise. The great thing is that this means you won’t have to experience the gaps in the road, as the suspension immediately cushions your driving and gives you the softest driving session you could experience. Simultaneously the engine provides a momentous power that is unmatched and can rapidly reach a heady speed, whilst motoring along nicely

The real selling point of the elegant Audi models is their upgraded functionality, as consumers don’t want a sports car with poor handling. As a result, some of the luxury cars to be manufactured by Audi have a number of additional features that a motorist would expect from their vehicle, such as clear displays, comfortable interiors and climate control. These improved features, as well as a number of others, combine to make driving the Audi a positive driving experience, whatever your expectations may be. This all adds up to a car that’s ideal for regular trips out and you’ll know that the Audi is the best car choice for your driving requirements.

When people consider Audi a couple of words spring up, such as luxuriousness, style, elegance and state-of-the-art design. Even though this could be a general popular impression of the famed brand design carried on by advertising, it is probable that these assertions are undisputed. In fact, if Audi were not offering a good alternative then the motors they create would not be as successful as they are at this moment. This popularity is evident as Audi has high sales and leasing figures for the majority of their models. With all this for the customer it is hardly a revelation that UK drivers regard Audi very highly.

Audi has a record for excellent internal chassis and great culture but these things would be nothing if Audi models had no strength or quickness to back up the car. This means that the Audi engines have to be designed using the same levels of precision, as the drivers of Audi will only be satisfied when you check off all the necessary things. Also it is the one solution to explain away the cost of Audi motors. It is worth understanding the value of Audi motors as Audi roll off some of the speediest cars available for high-profile and sports-style driving. All of which, are available as part of an Audi Rs6 leasing deal from www.centralcontracts.com .

Anyone who looks at an Audi inevitably wants to take it out on the streets for a test drive. That is due to the fact that the outer shell on an Audi is innovatively designed with sweeping, smooth and sharp lines that elegantly showcase their models to elegant perfection. Most Audi automobiles are aesthetically pleasing and the only issue with driving one is that you are unable to view its fabulous exterior. Therefore it is no wonder that Audis are so expensive, as the design intentions of their models are disparate to the traditional models that are manufactured by other automobile makers.

The features above mean that driving an Audi an amazing treat and night also explain why Audi leasing has become so popular.

To find out the latest deals on Audi Rs6 leasing call us today. The team here are waiting to discuss the various contract hire solutions. We make your search for an Audi Rs6 lease a whole lot easier.

Audi TT RS in white

Audi TT RS – Click above for high-res image gallery

Is there a more powerful Audi TT RS on the horizon? According to some leaked information, that appears to be the case. An iteration of the two-door has appeared in internal Audi documents with the name TT RS Plus. It’s power output is listed at 355 horsepower, which is a 20 pony jump over the current 335-hp TT RS.

It may not sound like much, but if Audi can shed some weight, in addition to the horsepower increase, then it should have an even more serious sports car on its hands. The leaked document states that the car will be introduced in May, so until that happens we’ll dream that it looks something like the DTM-inspired TT RS we drooled over back in October 2010.

Reliable Handheld Automotive Diagnostics for VW and Audi Models
Beginning in the 1980s new vehicles began to be wired with a variety of computerized diagnostic systems designed to improve efficiencies, simplify troubleshooting and minimize the need for repairs. These systems produce indicators known as diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) internally, usually indicating something out of the ordinary by illuminating the "check engine"/malfunction indicator light (MIL) on the dashboard of your car. In the 1990s these systems, codes and the hardware connectors used to access them were standardized in North America as OBD (onboard diagnostics) and later OBD-II. Europe uses the equivalent EOBD, but Volkswagen and Audi vehicles also use another diagnostic standard system, VAG. Unofficially this acronym can be taken to stand for "Volkswagen Audi Group."

The Roadi RDT45 VAG basic diagnostic scan tool is specially designed to work with most Volkswagen and Audis sold worldwide beginning in 1990. If your VW/AUDI model has a 16-pin OBD-II style Data Link Connector(DTC), the RDT45 code reader will certainly work. If it has an old-style 2x2 Data Link Connector (DTC), then it depends on whether there are 4 or 3 wires connecting to the pins. If there are 4 wires, each connecting a pin, then it will work. If there are only 3 wires, leaving one pin disconnected, then it will not. To use, simply plug the RDT45 code reader cable connector into the corresponding data port in your vehicle, usually located near the dashboard or gearshift, while the engine is off. Then switch the ignition on and scroll to the right menu option users can gain access to generic and vehicle specific VAG and OBD-II codes related primarily to the engine, transmission, airbag and ABS systems that trigger MIL events. Definitions for the DTCs can be found in your manual or via the CD definitions lists in on the CD included. Audi A6 ? Best used car on the road 25
Feb
Posted by Admin in Audi A6 on 02 25th, 2011

What car would I say is the best used car on the road? It would have to be the Audi A6. Why, I hear you ask? Well, being an Audi owner, I can vouch for the performance and luxury built into these beautiful cars. I have owned a few cars in the past from various manufacturers and I can honestly say that out of all of them, I have had the least trouble mixed with the best performance from the Audi A6.

Looking at Audis historically, the one that sticks out the most – in my mind anyway – is the Audi Quattro. Those powerful rally cars used to own the track, screaming round corners and kicking up gravel at spectators as they passed! The developments Audi have made over the years are evident in both their rally and road cars – they have made improvements without losing the power and precision behind the wheel. Their road cars are of course a bit more luxurious than the rally Quattro – no sign of a roll-cage in my little beauty! Joking aside, the A6 is sleek, stylish and a real pleasure to drive at any speed. The space inside is awesome too – the whole family fits comfortably and no one ever complains!

One of the best choices I made was to buy an Audi A6 over a BMW or Merc. These three makes of car are equally renowned for their style, sophistication, luxury and performance – but the Audi A6 comes without the hefty price tag! OK, they’re not exactly cheap either, but they definitely don’t hurt your wallet as much as the others. Personally I opted for a used Audi, which knocks about another £10,000 of the price tag.

One of the greatest features of an Audi is that the well-built structure will stand the test of time. I have had my Audi A6 for three years now and I have had zero problems with it. The trick is to buy a used car where any potential problems have been ‘ironed out’ by the previous owner, rather than created by them. So choose your used Audi wisely – not every owner is as careful as me! With an Audi A6, you’re unlikely to encounter ‘potential problems’ anyway because they’re so reliable. They come with a reputation – and not the kind that’s associated with Citroen Saxos or Vauxhall Novas! Audi A6 drivers are respected for their choice of car, and quite rightly so because it really is the best used car on the road.
