Audi A4 Allroad 2010 It’ll make its official press debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, but Audi has already released all the relevant information about this latest allroad, which takes the Audi A4 Avant and gives it the spirit of the woods already translated the Audi A6. Visually, this latest round of enhancements are more subtle than previous generations of Audi A6 allroads but still evocative of soft-roading. The wagon’s wider track allows for the natural looking fender flares and the revised front fascia screams cross country club. Not merely for show, the A4 allroad gets Audi’s rear-biased full-time all-wheel drive quattro system with a mechanical center differential capable of routing 65% percent of power to the front or 85% of power to the tail, though not simultaneously. Powering the base allroad is the 2.0-liter TSFI four-cylinder mill, capable of propelling the heavy wagon to 60 MPH in under seven seconds. The standard 2.0-liter TDI is also available and helps the wagon achieve 36.75 mpg (euro-style). Audi tells no lies and admits the best engine choice is the 3.0-liter TDI which, combined with the S-tronic 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox produces a 0-60 MPH time of 6.4 seconds and a respectable 33.1 MPG. No word on a US-bound version, but we’ll happily start holding our breath again. Music: Armin van Buuren-In and Out of Love Thanks for watching my video and reading my description!
