Of course the best would be a Supercharger for the low revs and a big Turbo kicking in the higher revs. That’s how Lacia did it for their Delta Integrale S4, and what a wicked beast that was already back in the 1980s.

how many ponys u think this car makes?
April 18th, 2010 at 11:41 pm
well i got a 94 2.8 audi quattro 90 for 500 bucks and was wondering if it were possible, im not to worried if i cant because overall its a really nice car

depends if the valvetrain is the same. this kit is made for a 2.8 30valve v6. im not sure exactly, but i dont think that it will fit your car. but dont hold me to it, upgrading to a b5 a4 1.8t would be your best bet for a relatively cheap car to upgrade(if your still wanting an audi that is, if not…get a honda hahaha jk dont get a honda)

would this kit work for a 94 audi quattro 90 2.8? if so where can i find it?

so badass

yea i think the 2.7 is a bore change from the 2.8 to hold the boost also, i honestly think i’d be better off upgrading the whole car to an S4 haha, but a supercharged A4 makes a great sleeper, either way i dont have the money to do either options, oh well…come on lottery
oh and thinks for discussing it with me instead of ragging on it like alot of youtube users do. i appreciate it

Well I know the 2.7 shares the same block, so I would check and see what causes the different displacement, whether it is a difference in bore or stroke or both. My guess would be a decrease in bore to strengthen the block against the boost, but I don’t know for sure. A 2.7 crank and rods would bolt up, although you might have to get different pistons depending on the bore changes. Your stock pistons would become the weak point. Mahle pistons aren’t cheap, but they are my favorites.

this is a sick sleeper
i want this set up

@travelbytommy yea i know, forged internals would be great, and the supercharger provides instant boost rather than laggining out like a turbo, i love thme both, my friends Supra Turbo sounds wicked with the Turbo spool and my frineds Tiburon supercharged screams down the road haha, but i cant find any internal upgrades for a 2.8l b5 A4, otherwise that would be my next investment…when i win the lottery haha

@99AudiMan09 I wouldn’t let the engine size fool you. Ford has a 2 427s and a 428, all are completely different engines with similar displacement, so it isn’t uncommon. I know the 2.8 and 2.7 share the same block, but I am not sure of the heads. I know the biggest problem with the 2.8 is the stock internals. Personally I like supercharging better than turbocharging, so if you beefed up the internals, it wouldn’t be hard to increase the boost on the supercharger.

ive got a ’99 a4 2.8 30v, so my thinking is that the heads are very similar because the a4 is a 2.8 vs. the S4 2.7. i dont have the money to this like i would want to but just a curious technical question haha
April 19th, 2010 at 4:07 am
That might be a good question for the dealership parts guy. They should be able to tell you if the head is the same on both the S4 and 2.8q. Do you have the 12v head or the 30v head? The 12v head would definately be different, although the ports could potenially be the same. I would guess that the 30v head would be the same on both being their introduction was only 2-3 years apart, but maybe the S4 head is different and flows better. Worst case, the S4 head bolts up to your current block.

its no longer 5K…its $3500
im tempted to take out a loan and buy the kit

ive got a b5 2.8, and technically your right, forged intrernals would allow for forced induction, however i have not b?een able to find the manifolds for a turbocharger for the 2.8. im curious if th eexhaust manifolds from a 2.7 S4 will fit the 2.8 since te displacement is nearly the same?
April 19th, 2010 at 5:19 am
whats your run in a 1/4 mile
April 19th, 2010 at 6:17 am
My understanding is that it is the same engine design, with different internals. Therefore if you replaced the internals with stronger bits, then you should be able to turbo the 2.8 without issues, and you would have an extra turbo, and 55% more displacement than a 1.8T.
April 19th, 2010 at 7:12 am
its a 2.8 and a s4 is a 2.7 tt
April 19th, 2010 at 7:48 am
hey i have 1st gen audi a4 1996 2.8 12v,
were can i get supercharger kit for it , tnx
April 19th, 2010 at 8:00 am
thats one ugly looking kit. =/ just saying.
April 19th, 2010 at 8:46 am
wats the 0-60mph on it… and 0-100mph is it worth 5k…=)
April 19th, 2010 at 9:32 am
That is the G2 supercharger kit from PES made for b5 audi a4 v6. It will bring you to about 295 hp and will set you back 4700$ plus about 10 hours of work to install. It’s the best option for us 30v guys but a bit ruff on the transmission.
April 19th, 2010 at 9:40 am
Where did you get that Screwcompressor? I’m searching one and I can’t find anyone. It’s hard to find one for V6. Please, tell me from which brand it is!
April 19th, 2010 at 10:26 am
nice vid. i got a b5 v6 2.8, and i changed the t-belt and ordered lightweight pulleys for it. wana get supercharger for it to but not to sure how the engine will hold up with 180k miles any ideas?
