Cheap Electric Scooters Don’t Have to Be “Cheap” 13
Feb

I needed a way to get around my college campus, so I decided to look at cheap electric scooters. I had not been around ANY type of scooter for years, so I didn’t know what they cost, or what kind of features they had. I must say that after I shopped around awhile, I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable they are, and how many cool features they have.

First, let me identify what I mean by “cheap electric scooters”. I needed a scooter powerful enough to lug my 190 lbs around, and fast enough to get me to my classes and dorm quickly.

Consequently, it had to be a model that was made for adults, as well as older kids. I looked at several models that fit those requirements, that cost well under 300.00!

I was shocked that you could buy relatively sophisticated transportation for under 300.00. These were not cheaply made, either. The had tensile steel frames, mag wheels, disc brakes, extra wide decks, and solid welds.

They were heavy enough to be sturdy, yet not so heavy as to be hard to control.

I was impressed with their speed as well. Most of the models had at least 500 watt motors, and could reach speeds of between 15-20mph, depending on the size of the rider.

It seemed that riding them would be fun, too, as they had twist grip throttles and hand held brakes.

What was particularly important to me was how far you could ride on a single charge of the battery. Most of these cheap electric scooters could run between 30-40 minutes continuously on a single charge!

With my frequent stops and starts, that would be enough “juice to last me the whole day!

PERFECT!

Motorcycle Accessories – How to Choose the Right Accessory For Your Needs 13
Feb

Whatever accessories you choose you need to find the right choice for your needs. It’s important to research all your options and read reviews. Don’t just buy the cheapest option as it may not be of good quality or last very long. In this article we’ll look at how to find the right motorcycle accessory for your needs.

So firstly, is your accessory for safety, convenience, style, performance or a mixture of all or some of these? Some shops will specialise only in specific brands or makes of motorbikes. This can make it easier to find the right option for your bike because you know there won’t be any compatibility issues. A specialist shop is also likely to be able to offer you advice on finding the right part and also fitting it to your bike.

For those on a budget, a tax disc holder can add a unique look and style to your motorbike. Although it may seem a bit pointless, a unique looking tax disc holder can make a standard bike look more stylish and without spending too much money. For example; a carbon fibre and aluminum tax disc holder will offer a very high quality solution with added security. Most holders are theft resistant and require the use of a key to change the tax disc. Offered in a range of colours it can add that finishing touch of modernism or style.
If you’re looking to transport your bike; a tie-down system can be very useful to prevent damage or even theft of your bike. Used to secure the bike to a trailer or the back of a truck it will keep the bike secure and safe when in transport.

Popular accessories to keep a motorcycle looking new are motorcycle tank bags. Tank bags are designed specifically to keep the tank in optimum condition and also to prevent ageing and damage to the bike. Most tank protectors are strong enough, using industrial strength adhesive, to not only protect the tank but also last a long time. When you decide you want a new look you can easily remove the protector and all traces will be removed.

These are just a few examples of some of the motorcycle accessories available for your motorcycle. Make sure you thoroughly research the options available to you and choose a reliable product.

My lease ends next month and I am WAY over my allowed milleage. It would cost me $4,000 for the extra miles so I think it makes the most sense to buy the Audi A4. What is the best way to go about negotiating the purchase? Thank you!

Autocar BMW 5-Series GT Vs. Mercedes E350 Lexus RX450H Audi A6 Land Rover HD 13

Autocar BMW 5-Series GT Vs. Mercedes E350 Lexus RX450H Audi A6 Land Rover HD Song: Gucci Mane – Heavy Instrumental Enjoy & Comment Autocar has pitted the BMW 530d Gran Turismo against its rivals – and these are some of the best pictures from the five-car test. The rivals are the Mercedes E350 CDI Avantegarde, Land Rover Discovery 3.0 TDV6 HSE, BMW 530D SE Gran Turismo, Audi A6 Allroad 3.0 TDI and Lexus RX450H SE-L. However, it should be noted that – due to photographic deadlines – the car you see in these pictures is the Mercedes E200 CDI. However, it was the E350 CDI tested. The conclusions? The BMW has its strengths – particularly the most spacious and best-finished interior. However, it fails to match its own claims to having grand touring ability, comfort and versatility. The best all-rounder in the test is deemed the Audi, but it only finishes fourth overall – ahead, only, of the Lexus – as it doesn't excel in any area. Instead, it's the Mercedes and Land Rover that do that. If you want an SUV with huge versatility then the Discovery is the car for you, but overall we have placed the Mercedes first; it doesn't sit you up high, but as a method of transporting you and your family it is unmatched. The full test story is in this week's Autocar magazine, on sale now.

A Brief History of Harley Davidson’s Past 12
Feb

The first Harley-Davidson motorcycle was produced in 1903. Although the sale of their motorcycles were very slow at the beginning. The single cylinder motorcycle that they created in 1903 sold very quickly and this motivated them to bigger and better things. But in 1905 sales dropped way off, as a matter of fact the only sold 11 motorcycles the entire year. So they knew they had to make some drastic changes and after trial and error in 1908 their business began to grow they sold a total of 154 motorcycles that year. The founders of Harley-Davidson motorcycles decided to move their production from the tiny barn that they were working in too a factory where they can have more space to build their motorcycles. They also hired their first employees a total of about 22 ramp-up your motorcycle production.

In just four years their business was booming they had over 200 motorcycle dealerships in the United States. Japan was also demanding a lot more bikes from Harley-Davidson as the interest for the motorcycle was really gaining popularity in Japan. Harley-Davidson was best known for its strong power in it’s motors it made a great racing bike, but that was not the reason the United States military chose to have Harley-Davidson build them 20,000+ motorcycles for the first world war. His huge contract made with the United States military pushed Harley-Davidson to the top they were the top motorcycle producer of that time and would stay that way for many years.

During the second world war the United States military again called on Harley-Davidson for their motorcycle needs they placed an order with the company for a vast amount of motorcycles. Although this was good for Harley-Davidson it was a bad time for anyone that was looking for motorcycle to buy from them because it was nearly impossible for any normal citizen at that time to purchase a motorcycle. This would be the Achilles’ heel for Harley-Davidson for a while as people got tired of waiting to be able to buy one they went to other companies to satisfy their needs for two wheeled transportation. This led to turbulent times for Harley-Davidson in the early 1950s but by 1957 they came out with a new brand called the Sportster and this would set them back on the top of motorcycle production companies. The Sportster seem to be what consumers were looking for at the time because of its sleek styling and it’s raw power.

From 1957 up until 1980 Harley-Davidson only made minor tweaks and adjustments in the style and design of the bikes they created but in 1980 they decided that they need to make some drastic changes in their selection of motorcycles. And in late 1980s they introduced the FLT it was equipped with a five speed transmission and instead of being chain driven Harley-Davidson went to a belt drive system. Then in 1984 they introduced what is known today as the V-twin motor. This helped them stay ahead of the competition.

Harley-Davidson has been one company that has always prided itself on feedback from its consumers. They would take into consideration all their consumers suggestions to make their product even better. In 1987 Harley-Davidson did something no other company had ever thought of they introduced their buyback plan which meant that they would give the consumer the full trade in value when they came in to purchase a newer model motorcycle. This was a big success with the consumers.

Since 1987 up until present day they have produced various new models that appeal to their customers wants and needs. They still have their popular Sportster, now made in various styles. The Dyna, a bike made for simplicity and speed, but they also have motorcycles made for comfort and cross-country rides such As the road king, the heritage classic soft tail, the electra glide, the Road glide, and many more and you can guarantee with the demand for a Harley-Davidson out there today there will be many more models created each and every year.

One thing that stood the test of time is that their consumers are definitely loyal customers because they won’t even consider riding any other type of motorcycle and I guess this is the reason that Harley-Davidson now has almost 65% of the market. With their attention to detail plus their commitment to keeping their customers satisfied you can guarantee Harley-Davidson will be around for a long time to come.
