I’m looking to purchase a cpo audi tt 3.2 but all of the ones near me are manual. I could pay about six grand more and buy a tt 3.2 with an auto but dont know if it could be cheaper to change the transmission on it once purchased?

i cant give you an exact number but its definitely going to be a pretty hefty sum.
Just learn how to drive a manual, it’s nice to have that control over the car, and it wont take long before you are used to it and fully comfortable, plus its way more fun! going from a stick to a auto is so boring. =)

AAMCO told me they will install any transmission for $500 with no warranty if you supply the tranny. Do a search for a tranny and add $500 to the cost.
FYI: Good place to go for trans parts

Don’t bother. If you want automatic, buy an automatic. Save the manual transmission cars for people who want them.

Def not a good idea, especially on a CPO vehicle. It would void your entire power train warranty which defeats the purpose of the CPO. Have your dealer shop at other dealers for a possible dealer trade on an automatic. Not to mention, it would be virtually impossible to do it using factory components. These cars are too technologically advanced to just do a trans for trans swap.
