i have a 78 corvette and have taken my catalytic convertor out because of build up… a smart thing to do is to get a new exaust system… but if ur wanting to put in a new converter ur self it wud take couple hrs with the right equipment…. in a shop it take them bout 1 hr or so….

It also may need new O2 sensors as well. Keep this in mind too, when you do the struts, you need an alignment too. This car since it is “snuck in,” may take all day.
