I’m thinking about buying a new Audi A4 and take advantage of the ‘pick it up at the factory in Germany’ deal. How will it take from the time I place my order until it’s ready?

About a month

I used to tell my customers between 90 and 120 days to be safe. That was from order to delivery at the dealer. They had stopped the European Delivery program at that point, but it was 5 weeks on the water then, so you can figure probably 60 to 75 days. Your Audi specialist , or his Audi Brand Manager, at the dealership should know.
Sounds like a gas!

That is a question you need to ask Audi there is an Audi museum you can visit when you pick it up, ask them about that too

It depends how far from the factory you are located and how muh custom equipment you ordered.
In Germany, you need about 2 months fro the new A4. If you want the new Avant, It won’t be out till spring.
In the US and the UK, even the 4 door won’t be out till spring at the earliest.
If you you want the car completely customised by Quattro GmbH, it’s a matter of negotiation. Expect at least 4 months in germany.
