My Audi has sat for a couple months. It starts but no matter what gear I put it in it shows 3rd on the display. It has an automatic transmission. When I try the gas it does not move no matter what gear the shifter lever is in. Any ideas? Could it just be low fluid? Did the transmission blow?

Your trans is in the limp-in mode. You will have to have your transmission’s trouble codes read. DON’T get duped into buying another trans or even a rebuilt trans. Sometimes, all that goes wrong is that the audi trans fluid (which is GOLD in color) has over penetrated the operating computer connector, and must be washed off. In time, the fluid may travel up the electrical connector wires and actually get right into the electronics box. You may have to tow the car in. Go to several Audi dealers or trans shops before you tow. Make sure they have the proper diagnostic equipment for this fine car. Many of these transmissions have no dipstick, and the fluid must be filled with special equipment. Good luck!!
