Audi A6 3.0 TDi quattro automatic – 233ps, 450nm torque, 225/55/16 winter tires. BMW 530d automatic – 218ps, 500nm torque, 225/50/17 winter tires. Both have turbocharged 3-litre diesel engines. Filmed in wet conditions. Audi had the advantage of quattro. BMW could run 7s to 100, but only on a sticky track and with wide summer tires. Audi 2007, Bmw 2005. Driven by me, used powerbreaking.

this is a fucking unfair video the BMW E60 is the old version with 218hp you must be do a video with the e60 530d with 235hp than you can see how faster the bmw is!

what about after 100kmh????BMW is faster.audi’s power at the front so when it starts i does not spin.but bmw is always spining at the beginnig coz power at the back.

What BMW did you have? If you have a 35i model, the reason might be the HPFP that keeps failing on the N54 engine. The new N55 engine will be better. Either that, or you have an outdated model. If you buy a BMW again, make sure you get one that doesn’t use the current N54 engine. The new 5-Series F10 no longer has the faulty N54 engine. However, if you don’t live on the west coast, you can confidently own one. The high amounts of ethanol in the gasoline on the western region is the problem.

I think it’s a matter of taste. I love the exterior of the bmw, and the interior isn’t too bad… But the thing that gets me the most is breaking down… My bmw is always breaking down. And we had 3 audis in our family that never did… I would never get a BMW because I don’t have that much time to go to the dealers, almost every month…

Not that it has a shitty interior. In fact, it actually hits the benchmark for build quality. The Audi’s interior is just a bit more inviting because it has alot more things coming at you. I’ve had the pleasure of being in both BMW and Audi interiors. In my opinion, BMW is a better car because it combines the sheer performance with luxury and comfort; and they are more engaging to the driver. Cheers.

the new a6′s 3 litre diesel engine is even better than this one..500Nm toruq, 241 bhp..so more power and less fuel consumption. the only bm 3 litre diesel engine that can beat that is the 3 litre twin turbo on the 535d/535xd. I own a 2002 a6 2.5 tdi fwd with 160bhp and i’ve recentlu driven the 530d, manual 6.. it has got some punch compared to my a6 but , overall, as another user said earlier, i believe that even the older a6 is a better overall car than the new 5 series.

It makes no difference whether the BMW is in D while the Audi is in SD..or that the audi has got 233 bhp while the bm only has 218.. As u can see they both shift gears at the same rpm…4200-4300. All in all, the only thing that makes a difference is that the tests were run in wet conditions, in which the bm’s rwd loses a little bit of ground.

audi rules!!!! Recently I was considering changing my old audi for a 2006 bmw but after seeing 2 of them( 530i & 530D) I was so desappointed….very poor quality of materials, little joints coming aprt, oil leaks on engine, harsh ride, etc. I’d rather stick to my 2001 A6 tdi, which is so much better when it comes to quality….even though bmw is more powerful but hey for a daily drive car I would take quality and comfort over power! cheers

hey guys, just chill out. As you can see, he wrote about winter tyres. That means maybe wet, cold temperature, maybe ice or snow. The most important audi is quattro, he does not write about BMW and Xdrive. So 4X4 vs RWD on winter tyres.

audi START AND GO WITH THE “S” SHIFT MODE AND THE BMW WITH THE “D” SHIFT MODE. I THINK THAT WITH “DS” MODE THE RESULT IS DIFFERENT, BUT I’M SURE THAT THE VIDEO IS NOT NEUTRAL.
