it would cause the engine to run rich since the BOV would be venting to atmosphere instead of back into the intake, not only that but in many cases it causes idle surge. Stick with Diverter valves.
you could install a bov on any turbo car dont matter just make sure its done right you got to plug the hole that goes back to the intake best way to do it get an adappter kit it comes with every thing you need to install thats what i did had it on for about two monts now no check engin light runs the same just got the sound the nest thing im gonna do is cold air intake
do. not. install blow off valve on your audi. bad news. we need Diverter Valves for our cars or eventually say bye bye to your turbo. and yes, Diverter Valves make the cool noise too.
question~
i got 04 audi 1.8t, i wanne to instal the HKS BOV ,but i didn’t find the guy who know how to do it right, can u upload another video, just show how to do it, or where shoud the parts go ? Thx
question, i have an audi a4, an 03 model and wanted to get the hks ssqv. friend told me that venting into the atmosphere like that will cause the car to stall, and not run right. did you have to tune the ecu or anything? thanks
