This was my A4 2.8 Quattro on the rollers. The car was only taken up to 5300rpm but it will go up to red line which is 6500rpm so a lot more power to be had but you gets the idea.

Pestuning the G2 Supercharger

exactly, i wanna do so much stuff to my 2.8, but 1)i have no money and 2)there are almost no sensible efficient upgrades for horsepower except the supercharger, which is why i plan on upgrading to an S4 in the spring

But wheel horsepower is what you eventually use. So if you build your drivetrain properly, you win more than by adding an intercooler for instance.

you don’t have a clue about the 1.8t which is understandable since your name is chevy. ive seen 1.8t’s with over 500hp stable. hell, its 150hp stock and with the apr chip it goes to 210 with 273lbs of torque. upgrade to the more efficient turbo and now its at 240 and over 300 lbs torque. havnt even touched the injectors, exhaust, intake, flywheel, headers, etc etc. very very very capable engine , look it up before you bash it =)

blah.. bigger turbo, larger intercooler, exhaust with bigger width and an ecu remap, and youre in! I had a Vauxhall with a 2,0 Turbo, and got 260 hp only with the exhaust and the larger intercooler.

a tuner in sweden reached 330 if i remember correctly 10 years ago
January 31st, 2010 at 4:48 am
he only dyno’ed that becasue when you say 190 stock, you lose many WHP when you hop onto the dyno, so 230 AWHP is about 290 to 300 hp at the crank, awd cars typically loose 20 percent of power from the crank to the wheels

Who sells a supercharger for the 2.8L A4?
January 31st, 2010 at 5:47 am
i think that is enough for that kind of small car, my audi 2.8 is probably has already like 170 180 hp, because it’s old and i never changed any part except tires or brakes

NO ONE is running 1.8t and getting 270 bhp.
January 31st, 2010 at 6:21 am
doc, your car is an inspiration. I cant wait to come up with the money for the G2. AZ FTMFW
January 31st, 2010 at 6:35 am
Well I sold the 2.8 because you have way more options with the 1.8T when it comes to tuning and thats what I have now.
January 31st, 2010 at 6:41 am
I had an 01 2.8, and was thinking about getting another one, but this time i was thinking about tuning it up…would a 1.8t be the better route? As far as able to make it faster?

If you read what I said this was not taken up to Red Line which is where the car pull in the real power band. These kits are only good for around 270-280bhp on pump gas but with a smaller pulley you may be able to reach around 290-300bhp. You must be running a Eliminator kit or GT28rs to get them figures hence why I sold my 2.8SC and bought a Audi A4q 1.8T with RS4 body with engine mods to come.

WTF? how is that.. i get 270 from my 1.8T…
January 31st, 2010 at 7:42 am
how many hp altogether?
January 31st, 2010 at 7:58 am
What was your stock hp on that car before the supercharger? I own an 00 Audi a4 2.8 v6 quattro and I currently have 190 stock. I was looking at getting a PES G2 as well and it said I could gain about 100hp+ or maybe a lil more. But you only dyno’d at 237. Just made me wonder.

January 31st, 2010 at 10:17 am
