@APRVideos Yep. Smaller wheels + manual = better straight-line.

@mrblakkkman Because the engine peaks at 5300~6000 rpms. If there was no change in power curve, even if there was a gain in the numerical value, shifting at a higher rev would be pointless.

@larryollie 211

is this 211 or 180?

@OkrutnyCruel It’s probably not the best idea. I’d go with a 6MT over the tip any day.

APRVideos do You think that this tiptronic gearbox is good for make more than 300HP ? or better is take manual??
April 30th, 2010 at 12:42 am
ok but approximately do you have any idea what it is? would it be sub 6 secs? cheers

Tough call. 0-60 is often very hard to measure due to so many variables such as the road you used, ambient conditions, tires, transmission, how hard you launch, how fast you shift, how much you weigh, how good the fuel is, etc.
For example with stock software I was unable to match car and drivers best time with this car!
April 30th, 2010 at 1:50 am
do you know what would the 0-60 be for a a4 dtm 2.0t with the stage 1 upgrade?
April 30th, 2010 at 2:02 am
I’m really not sure yet… we’ll have more data once we release our exhaust system.
April 30th, 2010 at 2:31 am
Darn. What do you think this motor is capable of with downpipe, ecu, fmic, and exhaust? It would be really cool to see one of these cars put 230-250awhp down on a dyno with the stock turbo.

If you check the dash I did runs in (S)port and (M)anual mode and neither held to redline like the DSG, S-tronic, R-tronic and other tiptronic transmissions. Not what we expected, especially in sport and manual.
Shift points are controlled in the TCU (transmission control unit) and would need modified separately from the ECU upgrade to reach a higher shift point.

I may be wrong, but your tranny is shifting at 6200RPM and the reve limiter is at 6800…perhaps theres a sports mode on the tranny that shifts at the limit…
again, I’m sure you know your car better than me…just thought I’d ask

startoff doesnt seem great.but 60-120?thats pretty fast.but i guess thats because of the huge increase in torque and a bit of hp
April 30th, 2010 at 4:46 am
Holy shit after seeing this I guess I drive mine like an 80yr lady lol.
April 30th, 2010 at 5:21 am
It was around 6.5 +/- actually.
April 30th, 2010 at 5:34 am
I don’t know what to tell you about 0-60. Difficult to measure really. I do know my 60-120 times were several seconds shorter after the upgrade.
April 30th, 2010 at 5:40 am
Got it APR. You used a very LOW tank of gas too? You should email C&D. I think they got like 5.8 or something.
April 30th, 2010 at 6:35 am
I tried hundreds of times to match car and drivers 0-60 times in an automatic tiptronic A4 with OEM 19′s, 93 octane in the tank, a pretty flat road, and both APR 93 octane mode and completely stock. I was completely unsuccessful. I’m sure those quoted times are under extremely ideal conditions with lighters wheels and a manual for launching at a higher RPM.

Was that 0-60 of 7 sec, starting at 00:31?? I thought these things would do at least 6 flat WITHOUT APR. wtf??
