you have much to learn my friend. A6, means mid-size sedan (not compact [A4], and not an A8). Within each different model, there are usually a variety of engines, i.e. A4= 4cyl Turbo, or a V6, A6= V6, V6 twin turbo, or V8, A8= 8 cyl, or 12 cyl.

Happy Learning :)

I'm sorry, but I can't really tolerate this stupidity about cars. so much so I signed up for a YouTube account. In Audi term, the number after the Ax is simply a way to designate the class of the vehicle and has nothing to do with the number of the cyl! The A4 line has/had 1.8t and 2.0t 4 cyl AND 2.8, 3.0 and 3.2 6 cyl motors. The A6 line has/had 2.8, 2.7t, 3.0 and 3.2 6cyl AND 4.2 8cyl motors. Please do some research before posting something this stupid!!

i'm fan of audi cars so A6 is not mean that it's got 6 cyl
A4 it's like Merc C klass/BMW 3 series
A6 it's like Merc E klass/BMW 5 series
A8 it's like Merc S klass/BMW 7 series

The number it's the class of the car like merc C E or S
